Welcome!

Welcome to International of the World Unite!
This is an experimental blog for easy sharing of cross-cultural experiences. International experiences are both interesting and scary to us. We try to make it less intimidating and more personal. People from other cultures are not barbarians – they just think differently than you do. It’s okay. There’s no right way of thinking. International experiences are about understanding and making friends. We would like to make a platform available for you to easily search for experiences that you would like to have, that you think are similar to yours,  or that you find simply interesting. Meanwhile, be happy.

Topics for spring semester 2014 are:

January:
Write about one thing/event/person that made you happy while you were/are away from your own country - use English (if you would like to write in a language other than English, remember to send a translated version along with your original!) and keep it under 500 words.  The thing/event/person could be a book, a movie, a pet, a trip, a dance, your host parents, your professor, your friends...anything you would like to write about.

Be sure to be detailed in the the ONE thing that made you happy. It is okay to start your post with general comments of your travel, but remember to focus on that one thing in the bulk part of the post. Be descriptive about HOW that thing made you emotional and what has CHANGED in you or in your life as a result of it.

February:
Write about one thing/event/person that surprised you ... (same)

March:
Write about one thing/event/person that made you emotional...(same)

April:
